Go with me if you will to the book of Matt. 25:14-23. The talents represent large units of money and are distributed according to one’s ability that he possesses (v.15) Now the three servants in this text, are typical of three types of disciples who are entrusted with various tasks in accordance with their own ability. It is important to note here that not all are expected to produce the same results, but all are to be faithful with what they have had entrusted to them. The bible says, “...through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man a measure of faith. Learn to take advantage of what you have, build on your faith!

And so as we have read the first two men (disciples) had double their money, obviously they exercised their faith and trusted in the word of God.This true and living God who told them who they were and what they have, and had anointed them with gifts and talents, all to bring glory and honor to him.And so the Lord looked at them and said, “well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Now, now, In order to display faithfulness, you have to have some FAITH!What is faith? And how do I get faith? Heb.11:1- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen! Substance is tangible, accessible, you can touch, feel, smell, you are aware of substance in the natural sense.

Rom. 10:17- So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God, notice it didn’t say faith comes, or faith came, but faith cometh. That means the more word of God we hear, the more faith just keeps on coming, and the more faith that comes the more we begin to look like the two men in the text who served the Lord to the max, so He can look at us and say well done thy good and faithful servant! The world is waiting for you to expose what’s in you and use the gifting that God has blessed you with. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”The bible talks about having the form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. We all know people like that who confess with their mouth but their hearts are far from it. That is why,... and we read the text in the beginning, Jesus said, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me”. If you never deny yourself, how can you ever please God enough for Him to want to bless you abundantly? Know who you are and know what you have! We have peace with God, and the peace of God, access to approach His throne, power over sin, and spiritual blessings. It means that “YOU HAVE A RIGHT” You have a right to the Tree of Life, and the Tree of Life is Jesus!
